Learn More Contact UsSERVICOM CDS Group is one of the Community Development Service (CDS) groups under the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Osogbo, Osun State. Our primary objective is to promote service excellence and ensure customer satisfaction in all NYSC activities.
We organize various programs and initiatives aimed at improving service delivery, creating awareness about SERVICOM principles, and fostering a culture of excellence among corps members and the host community.
Our activities include sensitization programs, workshops, community service projects, and collaborations with government agencies to improve public service delivery.
SERVICOM, short for Service Compact with All Nigerians, was launched in March 2004 by the Nigerian government to drive excellence in public service delivery. It emerged as a response to the public’s call for effective governance and transparent service.
The initiative was spearheaded by former President Olusegun Obasanjo and became a national framework for ensuring that citizens receive timely, fair, and effective public services. SERVICOM's core values — transparency, accountability, promptness, and fairness — resonate in public institutions across Nigeria.
Globally, SERVICOM has gained recognition for its people-focused approach and is often discussed in governance forums across Africa. Influential figures like Dr. Joe Abah (former Director General, Bureau of Public Service Reforms) have amplified SERVICOM’s vision through policy advocacy and public sector reforms.
SERVICOM's legacy continues to inspire a new generation of civic leaders and corps members committed to national development through quality service delivery.
We monitor and evaluate service delivery in NYSC and partner organizations to ensure compliance with SERVICOM standards.
We conduct surveys to assess customer satisfaction with NYSC services and provide recommendations for improvement.
We organize workshops and awareness campaigns to educate corps members and the public about SERVICOM principles.

NYSC Local Government Inspector – Osogbo Local Government
Mrs. Jimoh Tawa O. is a highly respected and dignified officer known for her dedication to youth development and service. As the Local Government Inspector (LGI) for Osogbo as well as the Schedule Officer, she plays a vital role in overseeing NYSC activities and ensuring the effective implementation of CDS programs, including SERVICOM.
